Accuracy and again accuracy…

Everything around us has gone uphill from the essentials to the most secondary goods.
Everything around us is increasing at lightning speed since inflation has risen to its highest rates ever.
Accuracy, then, is now a huge thorn in the side of all sectors, especially in these days when the pandemic is at its peak.

Inflation, at least at current levels, has long been seen as the primary enemy of a healthy economy.

One of the clearest ways to understand why rising prices and accuracy has come knocking at our door,
is to see how stuck the physical goods are.

People refer to key problems in supply chains.

In an interconnected global web of manufacturers, ships, ports, trucks and deliveries designed to get goods into the hands of the consumer.

Everything changed with the coming of the pandemic.

accuracy with the coming of the pandemic

Everything was going pretty smoothly until the wave of Covid-19 infections came along.

They closed major ports, such as that of China, where essential goods were stuck for several weeks.

The accumulation of containers was huge, resulting in bare shelves in supermarkets, electrical goods, clothing and other very basic consumer items.
For this reason, accuracy is slowly becoming apparent.
As a consequence of all this, there are shortages of goods such as computer chips, coal, paper and textiles, coffee, electronic spare parts and many others.
The problem stems from the electricity crisis.
More than 60% of electricity is from a shortage of coal, the price of which worldwide is soaring.
We have heard about increases in electricity but what we are experiencing is something that has left us unable to react.

The signs of the times…

Everything has gone uphill and that’s because of all the things I mentioned above…
Is nature taking revenge?
There are also the natural disasters of our planet, which are more and more every year…
Unbelievable floods and fires have hit the whole world, resulting in many millions of acres of crops being destroyed. As a consequence, not only ecological destruction but also huge economic destruction.

We also have a War to manage.

Recent developments have found Europe in the midst of two huge problems. First of all an evolving energy crisis and the problems of the consequences of the pandemic.
Russia’s violation of the rules of international law by invading Ukraine with its military forces has important implications on multiple levels.
First of all, the bad consequences of war, which are terrible for the civilian population who have to leave their lives and become refugees. Moreover, direct consequences will be recorded at the level of the economy, both at national and European level, and this has already started to affect our country.
For the first time, our generation is experiencing a pandemic, a war and an economic crisis at the same time.

How will future increases be bearable for salons?

Knowing that everything is going up, everything has become expensive.
From the materials we use, the electricity and the day-to-day fixed costs we have as a business.
Inevitably, price increases will also come to hairdressing salons so that they are viable and can be operational.

But what is it that can keep our salon operational in these difficult times we live in?
To keep our level of service high. Not too expensive, not too cheap, an average situation is best.
Don’t fall into the trap of getting third-rate materials.
And you will have a hard time at work and your client will know it right away.

In this case, the quality of the materials, but also the level of our work, is what the customer knows well.
There is a chance that he will leave you to seek the cheapest, but soon he will come back to you.
Because it’s more expensive but of higher quality.

What will future generations read about us in history books?

Because history has already written us…

Prepared we will be able to act more appropriately in this difficult wave of global revaluations.

I trust you…

With love and appreciation,

Elizabeth Makri
