The meeting of infectious diseases specialists, called by Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis, was completed immediately after the meeting at the Maximus Mansion with Health Minister Vassilis Kikilias, Deputy Minister of Civil Protection and Crisis Management Nikos Chardalias, Professor Sotiris Tsiodras and the President of EODY Panagiotis Arkoumaneas, where they assessed the bad epidemiological situation, mainly in Attica.

It is suspected that from tomorrow, all of Attica is closed. Hairdressing salons, barber shops, beauty centres, nail care shops, schools and retail. Only supermarkets, grocery stores, bakeries, bakeries, kiosks, pet shops and pharmacies will be open. Delivery, take away will also operate normally!

According to information, the lockdown decided by the Commission for Attica is for a period of two weeks, i.e. it will end on 21 February .
There is talk of Thessaloniki following suit!
The decision for the strict lockdown was taken by a vote of 16 for and 8 against.

Specifically, the increase in the number of covid 19 admissions to hospitals, the increase in the number of patients needing an ICU bed and the continuing alarming increase in cases that we have seen recently, are the reasons for the decision for the general lockdown.

This is the first information about what is to come. We expect the official announcement of the new data for the protection of Public Health by the Prime Minister, Kyriakos Mitsotakis at 7:30pm.
